About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified Integrative Psychotherapist practising in Stroud and Bristol. I hold an MSc in Integrative Psychotherapy from the Metanoia Institute, and two diplomas in counselling and psychotherapy.
I am experienced in working with clients who bring a range of material including: anxiety and depression, relationship challenges, family matters, addictions, loss and grief, trauma, childhood struggles, low self-esteem and grappling with a desire for change and direction.
I am an accredited member of the UK Council of Psychotherapists (UKCP) and the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (MÏã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ, Accred). I have experience of working in community settings, including as an assessor and therapist at Gloucestershire Counselling Service, in mental health and statutory sectors, and the NHS.
My approach is to work with what you bring. As an integrative practitioner, I will apply my skills and theoretical understanding in relational psychoanalysis, alongside contextual, transpersonal and humanistic influences to working alongside you.
Initially, I offer phone and email contact and welcome any questions you have. If we decide to proceed, an initial session will be arranged which will last 50 minutes. This will give us an opportunity to meet each other and reflect on how counselling can be of help to you. Once we agree to proceed from the initial session, we will set aside a regular weekly day and time to meet.
I work in an open-ended way, which means I do not limit the number of sessions offered and we can review the therapy as we go along. Sometimes there is a specific piece of work that requires shorter-term therapeutic input and I also have experience of working with clients in a time-limited way (usually between 6-12 sessions).
Practice description
I run private practice in Bristol and Stroud from rooms that are centrally located with nearby parking and public transport links.
I offer EAP counselling (Employee Assistance) through companies.
