About me and my therapy practice
Hi. I am Cindy and I work with children, young people, adults and couples. I am based in Chelmsford near the train station.
Does the way you live leave you feeling stuck and unmotivated?
Have you experienced a bereavement, loss, abusive relationship, neglect and difficult childhood, bullying, intimidation?
Have you harmed yourself or had suicidal thoughts?
Adapting to a life that has had to change due to illness or disability? Or gone through a period of illness and finding it hard to get back to 'normal'?
Is your child finding it hard to connect with peers and make friends? Has there been a change to their behaviour or having a difficult time that they can't seem to adapt to or shift?
Going/Gone through a relationship breakup, divorce or family dynamics leaving you feeling overwhelmed with anxiety, panic attacks, fear, sadness/hurt, feeling blocked and choiceless?
In a relationship or marriage that is impacted by past experiences or changes that are causing a division?
There are many reasons why we all sometimes need support. Your need for support is relevant and it is not 'too little compared to others'. Your wellbeing is important and necessary to function and make choices. Taking care of yourself has a very positive impact on what you can do for yourself next and also how your partner/children/friends
I provide a safe and trusting space to enable my clients to explore what it is that has brought them to counselling. About me and my therapy practice
My training was with Counselling Tutor's Advanced Certificate in Clinical Supervision, including online and telephone working.
The way I work, therefore, is following the Seven-Eyed Model of supervision in order to help supervisees explore the various dynamics within their client work, and their client and supervisor relationship. This is to ensure support is there in maintaining and developing your awareness in your client work, maintaining your ethical framework guidelines, managing safety around risk and legal requirements, and to explore further developmental needs that can support your practice. I believe my role is to help support you to manage and grow in your work.
Practice description
As my new supervisee, we will contract around governing body requirements together with your professional needs. Supervision sessions are normally a minimum of 1.5 hours a month or 1 hour per 8 clients that you have.
There are a few options as to how your sessions can be scheduled.
Once a month at 1.5 hours
Twice a month at 45 minutes per session
Twice (or 3 times) a month at 1 hour at a time, depending on how many clients you have.
My first session
In order to set up a collaborative working relationship, there may be some structure to getting an overview of your work load, the organisation you may work for, the expectations that you are needing to work towards, and explore anything that may impact or influence your work and capacity.
The first session is getting to know how you work and what support you would like from me, together with you sensing how I work and how this could or could not compliment your working needs.
