About me and my therapy practice
I am an integrative therapist with an extensive experience of working in various settings: charities, community addiction services and private hospitals and have also been in private practice for a number of years.
I might be able to help if you are struggling with depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, feeling hopeless or trapped in addictive or codependent behavioural patterns. You might also just be feeling that something is missing in your life, but are not sure what is the reason that you are feeling that way. Maybe you are also wondering about your identity and searching for a deeper meaning and purpose.
I have a particular interest and experience in supporting individuals with ADHD and ASD.
Our sessions will provide a safe space to talk, to be really listened to and accepted for who you are. The aim is to help you find a way to feel happier, more secure and connected. This journey might be challenging sometimes, but it is always a rewarding one.
I would also welcome you if you have suffered a significant loss, including bereavement by suicide or loss of a child of any age.
Practice description
Sessions are 50 minutes long and we will agree together on either shorter (6-12 sessions) or longer-term therapy, depending on your needs and preferences.
I am integrating various approaches, depending on the issue that brings you to therapy and what might work best for you. We will often explore your attachment history and the relationships you have with others today. I am interested in the inner child work and incorporate this in my sessions, when needed and appropriate.
My main approach is psychodynamic and in addition to that I have several years of experience and additional training in working with addictions and compulsive behaviours, including delivering groups and one-to-one sessions in a hospital setting.
Especially when someone is in early recovery from addictions or compulsive behaviours, I would also draw on cognitive behavioural therapy skills, to help you achieve stability and build up on that.
I am offering face-to-face sessions from practices in Clapham and Brixton and also remotely on Zoom.
What I can help with
ADD / ADHD, Addictions, AIDS/HIV, Anger management, Anxiety, Autism spectrum, Bereavement, Cancer, Cultural issues, Depression, Health related issues, Identity issues, Infertility, Loss, Menopause, Neurodiversity, Obsessions, OCD, Redundancy, Relationships, Self esteem, Sexual identity, Sexuality, Spirituality, Stress, Substance Dependency, Trauma, Women's issues, Work related issues
