About me and my therapy practice

I am an experienced qualified professional Integrative therapist with experience of working with a wide range of client issues including depression and anxiety, alcohol and substance misuse and toxic relationships. I have also worked with various types of trauma including domestic violence, childhood emotional and sexual abuse and other adverse childhood experiences.

It can feel daunting to know where to start or how to cope when we feel overwhelmed by life, difficult past or present experiences, thoughts and feelings.

I will work alongside you whilst offering a safe, confidential, empathic and non - judgemental space in which together we can explore the issues causing you distress in order to gain clarity, understanding and growth. I bring a warm, calm and compassionate approach to my work in which my client feels supported and empowered.

I practise Integratively using a trauma informed approach which means I draw from a number of psychotherapeutic theories, skills and tools to tailor the sessions to best suit my clients as individuals. As a relational therapist at the core of my work the relationship we create is valued and explored to foster self-awareness, as is your relationship with yourself and others.

I am able to work with clients on a short term focused or a longer term open ended basis in order to explore deeper thoughts and feelings.

I am a registered member of the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ and this means I adhere to their code of professional standards and ethical framework.

I have public liability insurance and regularly undertake continuous professional development.

I work from a comfortable, professional room in North Swindon which is easily accessed by car and public transport. Free parking is available.

If you would like to see if you feel we could work together please contact me.

Practice description

As a relational therapist at the heart of my work the relationship we create together is valued and explored, as is the relationship you have with yourself and others. I believe that you, the client is the expert on yourself and our work is led by your needs and aims

I practise Integratively which means I draw from a number of theoretical approaches, skills and interventions allowing me the flexibility to assist my clients as unique individuals. Every client is different and my approach is tailored to the individual.

Sometimes we can experience difficulties or distress in our adult life and relationships as we bring old patterns or behaviours from our childhood which are still influencing and affecting us today. By helping clients explore and understand how this impacts in the here and now can help them to grow and have healthier relationships as adults - both with themselves and others.

How do I know if you are the right therapist?

There are many different therapists to choose from and many different approaches so it is important you find one that works best for you. I would always meet with possible new clients for an initial telephone consultation so we can talk about what is bringing you to therapy, so you can experience how I work and you can decide if it feels like a good fit.

About me and my therapy practice

Are you feeling anxious, sad, angry?. I am a professional and experienced therapist offering a calm, confidential and non-judgemental space for you to be heard.

I use a trauma informed approach to support my clients with the issues causing distress.

I offer a safe, confidential, empathic and non-judgemental space in which together we can look at the issues you wish to which can nurture self-awareness and personal growth.

As a relational therapist at the heart of my work the relationship we create together is valued and explored, as is the relationship you have with yourself and others. I believe that you, the client is the expert on yourself and our work is led by your needs and aims.

Self beliefs formed in childhood and relational patterns we have witnessed or experienced greatly influence our adult lives. Understanding these and gently challenging some unhelpful self beliefs and childhood messages can be transforming.

I also introduce clients to understanding how our nervous system impacts and influences us and holds any trauma. This can be particularly useful when trying to understand how the past affects our lives in the here and now. It can also help us understand our current reactions, emotions held in the body and chronic stress linked to physical symptoms.
