My first session
In our first session, we will conduct a comprehensive assessment to help us understand your current situation and determine the best way forward. This session is an opportunity for you to share your reasons for seeking therapy, any past mental health experiences, and any specific concerns or goals you have in mind.
During the assessment, we will discuss your overall well-being, including any risks or challenges you might be facing. We may also complete some psychometric measures, depending on your presenting issues, to gain a clearer understanding of your needs. These tools help us identify patterns and track progress throughout our work together.
This initial session is not only about gathering information but also about beginning to build our therapeutic relationship. It’s a space for you to ask questions, express any concerns, and get a sense of how we might work together. My goal is to ensure you feel comfortable and supported as we start this journey.
I typically charge my standard rate for the first session, as it is an essential part of the therapeutic process, laying the groundwork for our future sessions.
