About me and my therapy practice
For many reasons, life can be hard-hitting, and I recognise that as humans we all need to check in with ourselves from time to time. This is especially helpful when experiencing a difficult time, or you may be feeling stuck or entering a new stage in life. Counselling can give you a space to process these experiences and the impact it’s have on you and your life. Processing these experiences can provide clarity or perspective all whilst building a deeper connection with yourself. I provide a safe and confidential environment and my therapeutic approach is warm, empathic, non-judgemental, and accepting to ensure you can talk openly about what you have brought to therapy.
I work relationally, meaning that we will focus on the relationship between us to understand more about how you relate to others and yourself. We can collaboratively explore and work at a pace that suits your individual needs. I will always aim to ensure you achieve your therapy goals in our work together, I offer regular reviews and invite your feedback on our sessions.
My specialist areas and areas of interest include cultural issues, LGBTQIA+ and sexual violence.
Practice description
As a person-centred therapist, I believe that given the right conditions, you can reach your full potential and become your true self. With the offering of empathy, honesty, transparency, value, and acceptance, it allows for you to begin to safely explore self and gain clarity and perspective.
As a trauma-informed therapist, I work within an anti-oppressive framework by ensuring that I am providing inclusive, neurodiversity-affirming, disability-affirming, sex-positive, and LGBTQIA+ affirming support.
Sessions can last between 50 minutes to 1 hour. I will meet with you on a weekly or at times fortnightly basis. This is applicable to short or long-term counselling, depending on your needs.

About me and my therapy practice
I practise as a person-centred counsellor and offer person-centred clinical supervision to therapists who may work in the same way or other modalities. My approach to supervision is The Seven eyed model by Hawkins and Shohet. (1985) This model integrates the relational and systemic aspects of supervision, meaning it focuses on all relationships and the interplay between them whilst considering it within the wider systems.
The reflection of your practice and self is an integral part of best practice and the main function of supervision. My aim as a supervisor is to support you to safely reflect and process the thoughts and feelings evoked through your therapeutic work. Exploration of these experiences and reactions can enhance overall practice, current therapeutic work, ethical boundaries, and well-being.
My specialist areas and areas of interest include those working with children, cultural issues, LGBTQIA+ and sexual violence.
