About me and my therapy practice
I provide professional counselling in Manchester, Wigan and the West Lancashire area, specialising in person centred therapy.
I strive to help people struggling with mental health issues like depression, stress and anxiety or people who are simply struggling to maintain positive and healthy relationships with people in their families and work life.
I know from personal experience how difficult living with anxiety and depression can be and the toll it takes on happiness and being present in key moments in your life.
I've had counselling myself, so I appreciate how challenging taking that first step is, sitting in front of someone talking about your inner most feelings, fears and anxieties.
I'm here to guide you safely through this personal journey of healing, of working towards living a better and more positive life for yourself with person centred counselling.
I will create a safe and protective space for you to explore past events and any circumstances preventing you from acheiving the happiness you deserve.
My aim is to help you learn to live your life without unnecessary guilt, anger, anxiety, and to embrace you authentic self and begin to live a more productive and fulfilling life.
How I Work With You:
Our sessions are 60 minutes in duration and we will talk in depth about your background, key events and people in your life and how your emotional and psychological wellbeing is affected by your history and these contributing factors.
There is no pressure, no judgement, you can stop at any time you choose, sessions are led by your needs.
By exploring key life events and relationships from your past and beginning to understand how these histories affect your behaviour and mindset today, I believe that you can take control of your mental wellbeing and lead a more confident, positive and happier life. You can reach your true potential.

I specialise in person-centred talking therapy.This involves discussing such things as important people in your life, key life events and how you feel about them, as well as how you respond to your environment and the people around you.
I believe that opening up your world is the first step to understanding it.
Consequently, the therapy process is driven by you and what you want to talk about. Your comfort and wellbeing are of the utmost importance, so you set the pace. No one person is the same and whether you are struggling with depression, unhealthy relationships or finding it hard to be happy with yourself and your life, everybody鈥檚 progress looks and feels different.
Therefore, how many counselling sessions you undertake and how long you come for is entirely up to you.
My goal is to promote the healing process and help you become the best version of yourself that you want to be.
My first session
I offer an initial 30-minute consultation free of charge.
There is no pressure to commit and I won鈥檛 judge the things you tell me.
The consultation will give you an idea of how we would work together and ultimately helps you decide if you are ready to take your therapy further with me.
If you can鈥檛 attend either my Manchester or Wigan clinics in person, your consultation can be done via phone or online to ensure that you are comfortable and feel relaxed with the counselling process.

I understand the daily frustration of living with depression and anxiety. Having had counselling myself, I know how it feels to sit in front of a stranger and talk about my inner most feelings. I'm here to accompany and encourage you on your own personal journey.
I specialise in person-centred counselling which means that during a session, you'll work with me by talking through issues, key events, concerns, behaviours and how you鈥檙e feeling...anything that鈥檚 bothering you. I immerse myself into your world to understand your perspective. I offer a safe and encouraging environment, one where you aren鈥檛 judged, so that you feel accepted and 鈥渉eld鈥. You鈥檙e then able to piece things together that may not have been clear before; acknowledge aspects of your behaviour; work through any hurt and get to a point where you feel capable to move forward and live your life.
Everybody who comes to counselling has different aims and outcomes that they want to achieve. I work with all adults from all backgrounds over the age of 18.
I also offer remote sessions via phone, Zoom or FaceTime. You choose which is the best form of therapy for you.
