Having a down day? Marriage or relationship on the rocks? We all joke but sometimes you actually get quite sad that you're feeling alone. You're not living the wholesome relationship life you crave.
Regardless of whether or not you're a loner who doesn't do cuddles, it's normal to need and want company and cuddles. To want someone to be there and say it's ok. And sometimes you miss that closeness and intimacy.
You know that feeling, when you have the weekend off and no one to do fun stuff with? It would be lovely to be happy sharing your life with someone.
You've got friends. But you're missing being in a relationship.
You've learned to accept it. You try to keep busy & arrange something to do each day.
Being lonely sucks and you're tired of dwelling on feeling trapped by it. Most of the time you're happy and content on your own. Most of the time it's all good but sometimes things get to you and you wish you had someone to share life with.
What kind of relationship are you looking for?
Sometimes we want more. It’s not a great feeling, and you're not alone in feeling this way. But this feeling doesn't only apply to single people.
As happy as you are for couples, do you wonder how they've done it, found their person? What are you doing wrong?
In case you think the grass is always greener on the other side?
I’ll let you in on a secret...
One can be happy as a singleton, still feel lonely at times, and still want something more. Some married people feel more lonely in an unhappy marriage than being single. Married couples also feel alone at times, even though they’re sitting in the same room with somebody.
But this does not have to be you. You can take the right steps to do something different.
I’m available Tuesday and Friday for flexible and convenient daytime and evening appointments between 10 AM and 9 PM and I invite you to start your journey to feeling free and content with your life.
About me and my therapy practice
My foundational training is in Integrative Counselling. I utilise bespoke person-centred interventions in the form of carefully tailored therapeutic techniques.
I enjoy meeting clients on physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual planes.
As a trauma-informed counsellor, I am dedicated to fostering safe and supportive therapy. Central to my approach is the belief in collaborative engagement. You have unique needs and I view each client as a distinct individual. Your needs, preferences, and unique circumstances guide the entire therapeutic process.
I recognize that therapy must adapt and evolve to suit your goals and preferences. Acknowledging and validating feelings is central to how I work. Validation is important for us to feel accepted by others. I hope you will thrive in an environment conducive to growth and healing.

My experience allows me to provide a robust framework that encompasses a variety of Humanistic, Psychodynamic, and Behavioural modalities. This integrative approach also involves integrating attachment-focused EMDR Therapy with humanistic modalities.
My first session
It is normal to feel nervous or anxious before your first session, particularly if this is your first experience of therapy. It can take a while to get used to the situation but almost all clients report feeling significant ease as the session goes on. It can be a relief to talk about difficult issues with someone who is understanding, who withholds judgment and with whom you do not have an emotional attachment.
I understand what it's like to feel self-conscious, vulnerable, anxious and tearful. It is also okay and normal to feel no anxiety or sadness.
You might be surprised at how teary you are...
It is quite common to feel tearful because of the intensity of feelings but it is completely normal especially after having to hold so much, often for a long time. The tears might be as much about relief as about expressing sadness.
We aren't very good at dealing with tears in this society because we tend to be self-conscious about crying in front of others. Know that this is normal too. You might like to have some tissues handy in case you feel tearful.
There are many benefits to working online. Get yourself a comfortable seat in a space that feels safe for you in the comfort of your own home.
Getting started
The initial phase involves getting to know you and building a healthy trusting therapeutic relationship. I explain how we work, and clarify the boundaries. The session aims to have an agreed focus of work for future sessions. It is usual to have gained some insights, perspective and food for thought by the end of the first session. I will need to know your personal information, physical or mental health issues, medication, and your family background (parents, siblings, partners, children etc.). It is also important for me to know whether you have had any suicidal thoughts, attempts and/or self-harm or if you have encountered suicide or self-harm in a family member or friend.
