About me and my therapy practice

Hello, my name is Emma and thank you for stopping by. I fully appreciate it can feel overwhelming at the thought of starting counselling – I know, I have been there. Here, I have provided some information on my practice and what counselling is.

We can all find ourselves in emotional distress at times and my role would involve supporting you to explore your feelings and helping you to have a greater understanding of your emotions. This can also create a greater understanding of who you are. With a better understanding comes the potential of creating a better relationship with yourself and others too.

Prior to qualifying as a counsellor, I worked as a support worker in brain injury and mental health support. Following on from this, I went onto study and qualify as a Therapeutic Counsellor. I have a B.A Hons Degree in Integrative counselling with person-centred counselling being at the core by providing empathy, congruence and unconditional positive regard. My training included the use of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, trauma and working with children and young people.

If you are interested in my service, I offer face-to-face sessions in Llanelli, complying with the current Covid-19 restrictions. Plus, online and telephone counselling over Zoom or online chat, so I can work with anybody remotely throughout the UK. Additionally, if preferred, I am happy to do voice telephone sessions. Counselling in this way offers you the chance to be in the comfort of your own home.

If you would like to arrange a chat with me to find out more about my counselling practice, please get in touch.

About me and my therapy practice

Hello, thanks for stopping by.

I'm Emma, I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor who focuses on the person centred approach which underpins the work that I do. I am based in Dafen, Llanelli for face to face sessions. I also offer online and telephone sessions.

I work with children, young people and adults.

Before recently qualifying as a counsellor, I worked as a support worker within mental health and brain injury therapy. While doing this, I gained a great desire to help those who are suffering with their mental health. I then went onto study and qualify as a therapeutic counsellor.

I offer a non judgemental service and can provide a safe, confidential place for you to talk through what is troubling you.

I fully understand that it can feel very overwhelming thinking about how to approach a counsellor like myself. The first step is to get in contact with me, this can be by phone, text or email. I can offer you some information and answer any questions you may have before you make a decision to book a session or not.
