About me and my therapy practice
As an Integrative psychotherapist and counsellor my approach is collaborative, seeking to meet you in conversation wherever you are in your life, without expectation or judgement. I bring a warmth and openness to my work with all clients.
My training enables me to explore your experiences with you in a safe and individual way, to reflect and help you find new understanding, perspective and emotional resources. Whether it is something recent that you are struggling to come to terms with, or something more long standing, I would be happy to hear from you.
I am experienced in working in-person and remotely.
My practice is now working with clients via telephone.
Working via telephone is different from in-person or online via video. It enables a different sense of security and freedom and I have found during careful development of this way of working over a number of years that using audio only creates a uniquely freeing but focussed conversation and deep connection between myself and my clients.
Although sessions are generally on the same day and at the same time each week, I am able to give occasional flexibility in this if the need arises.
Weekly telephone sessions cost £65.
Initial 30 minute session - Free
Qualifications and Experience:
I trained at Regent's University, London, gaining the following qualifications:
MA Psychotherapy and Counselling. (Distinction)
Postgraduate Diploma (Level 7) - Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling.
Certificate in Psychotherapy and Counselling
Practice description
Therapy sessions provide a different kind of emotional and reflective space from that which is found in daily life: it is a space where thoughts and feelings can be explored without judgement or needing to meet the expectations of others. The relationship between therapist and client is significant, being very different from speaking with family or friends, and it forms a dynamic and important element in the therapy itself.
To ask any questions you might have, please do get in touch, either by email or phone and I will be happy to discuss further if you think this may work for you.
Previous Experience:
Prior to establishing my Private Practice, my previous experience was as a counsellor in a mental health charity in London, seeing clients both short and long-term about a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties. Before that I was a counsellor for a London bereavement service, working with clients experiencing complex bereavement and traumatic loss.
Before training as a therapist, I taught in higher education.
My first session
The first session gives us an opportunity to experience how it might be to work together via telephone.
I would seek to listen to what is bringing you to therapy and what your hopes are in working with me.
I may ask some questions to gain better understanding of the issues you face but my aim, in this and any future sessions, is to enable a space for dialogue to take place between us.
I would describe the approach I would take to our work together and we will have the opportunity to discuss the process and terms for regular sessions, should that be the path you wish to take.
I would welcome any questions you have and would seek to answer as openly as I can.

Practice description
My practice is Integrative (Existential, Psychodynamic and Humanistic), seeking to meet your individual needs. The down-to-earth approach of Existential psychotherapy forms the core of my work with clients, enabling you to reflect on your own values, choices and fears in life. We would work together to understand your experiences, to bring clarity, find possibility, and build on your resources to support you in meeting the challenges you face.
