About me and my therapy practice

I am a warm and empathic person, offering a safe and comfortable space for you to be attended to in depth and with compassion. I am situated in the centre of Winchester.

In my approach I am guided by Humanistic values and a deep respect for the power of the individual to grow and develop when provided with a secure therapeutic relationship. I believe that it is possible for you to deepen your understanding of yourself through exploration of feelings and experiences, always going at the right pace for you.

I can offer both short (six sessions) and longer term, open ended counselling.

I qualified in 2017 and have been working in a voluntary capacity at The Olive Branch, Winchester for the last three years alongside my private practice. I have also completed a training with Jan Day, called 'The Art of Being' which focussed on intimacy and sexuality within relationships.

I have experience of working with issues of bereavement, relationship difficulties, trauma, depression, work place issues, and attachment difficulties. I am interested and have experience of working with those who have emotional difficulties connected to having attended boarding school.

Please feel free to phone or e mail me should you have any questions about the counselling I can offer.

Training, qualifications & experience

In 2017 I qualified in Transactional Analysis with Humanistic counselling (Merit) (Middlesex University)

I have extensive experience of working with children and families from 1988 - 2016

In 1988 I received a Certificate of Qualification in Social Work

In 1978 I received a Certificate in Education for teaching Primary School children.

Practice description

I offer a free half hour consultation either face to face or by phone so that we can talk about how best I may be able to help you.

Sessions last 50 minutes and are face to face only.

I work with all Adults (18+)

I can offer both short (six sessions) and longer term, open ended counselling.
