About me and my therapy practice
I offer kindness and compassion at a time when you may feel scared, stuck and lonely trying to cope in the best way you know how. I work in a relational way which means as we get to know each other I feel how it feels to be in your shoes and see things from your perspective and then we work through the difficulties together sensitively towards feeling more whole.
I value diversity and individuality in all its forms and believe everyone is unique and I enjoy helping people feel seen and valued for who they truly are.
I also use play and creative therapy and am creative in my ways of finding a way through the difficulties.
I’m a registered therapist with WPA (Health Insurance) and Compass (Residential Care for Children and Young People).
Practice description
I am a Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ accredited counsellor and have 10 years extensive experience as a counsellor having worked with children, young people and adults in a variety of settings having worked in the public sector, counselling agencies and charities as a counsellor. I am adaptable to empower whoever comes through the door to feel safe to share their real feelings in whatever way and at whatever pace suits them best without any fear of how they will be received or any knowledge of how to talk about their difficulties. I have a dedicated play therapy room which offers opportunities to just build up trust through activities in the sand tray, games, through art or music or a comfortable sofa to just sit back, feel listened to and get things off your chest or we can go to a deeper level where you really want to get to the root of things and unburden long-held insecurities and worries.
My first session
The first session is the same cost but without any commitment as often I find my clients get a lot out of that session. We do an assessment where you get to see how you feel working with me and talk about the issues without going too in depth straight away. This then enables us to set goals and work out what approach is going to work best for you.
