I provide both online and face to face counselling. I also offer walk and talk therapy. Current clients say they value the choice and many opt for a blended approach.
About me and my therapy practice
There are times in life when we all need support. By creating a safe, empathic environment I enable you to process tough emotions and come to terms with them. Normalising difficult feelings and finding healthy ways to express them is particularly beneficial for building resilience and moving forward.
Therapy sessions are confidential. This means that you can talk about things you might not feel able to discuss with anyone else, in a safe environment, knowing you will not be judged. As your therapist, I will aim to help you find better ways to cope and bring about changes to improve your mental and emotional wellbeing.
I have considerable experience of helping people with anxiety, depression, feeling sad, panic attacks, OCD, low self-esteem, relationship problems, family and work issues. I am an experienced bereavement counsellor and worked for a number of years supporting bereaved family members, of all ages, in a hospice setting. I also work with clients who use the 12 step recovery programmes for addictions to alcohol, drugs, gambling, food, eating disorders, and other related issues.
I have extensive experience of supporting children and young people as I worked as a counsellor in a primary school for a number of years.
I also help couples who face difficulties in their relationships to gain insight into their challenges, improve their communication, and develop clarity about where they want their relationship to be.
As a certified professional coach, I am able to support you with challenges that may arise at work and help you to identify what you may want to achieve or change in your professional life.
