About me and my therapy practice
Feeling empty, disconnected or anxious without knowing why?
You might be feeling as though you are always on edge and something bad is about to happen.
You've never been able to feel in control of your emotions and find it hard to relax.
You constantly put people's needs above your own because you're afraid they'll leave if you don't.
You might even go to extreme lengths to avoid confrontation because it makes you feel like you're in danger.
If this sounds like you, you can learn where these patterns started and most importantly, what you can do to change.
Some people like a space to talk, however, I find that having something more practical and collaborative helps to change unhelpful patterns.
As a trauma informed therapist, I also work with understanding your physical and emotional responses. This helps to facilitate long lasting change.
I have a proactive approach that works really well with people who often avoid talking about their feelings.
At the end of therapy, my clients have been able to manage toxic working environments, develop tools to cope with high functioning anxiety and thrive after having toxic relationships.
My special interest areas are codependency and people pleasing using an attachment focused approach.
If you'd like to learn how to feel calmer, more in control of your reactions and to stop the racing thoughts that keep you up at night, get in touch.
I offer free 15 minute Zoom calls to all new clients.

My first session
The first session is for us to get to know each other and make a collaborative plan of what you are hoping to achieve from therapy.
We may cover some of this briefly in our initial telephone consultation, but the first session is more detailed.
The first session can feel daunting if you've never experienced therapy before, but I assure you that the first session is similar to a relaxed conversation.
I do not expect you to know all of the answers and there are no awkward silences!
If you get stuck with what to say, I'll ask some relevant questions that will help you along.
