About me and my therapy practice
Do you or your young person feel stressed, anxious or overwhelmed? Are you finding it hard to cope with the demands of everyday life? Coming to see a counsellor is a brave step towards making a change. What if you felt calmer and more in control? What difference would that make? If any of this sounds familiar you may benefit from counselling.
I believe the potential is within you, but sometimes hard to find or access. Counselling is a form of healing and I believe the relationship between a therapist and client can help you move towards better ways of coping, improving self-confidence, self-worth and living a more fulfilling life.
Talking things through and being heard can often help, sometimes strategies and tools can also be helpful. Being creative is another way that I can offer a way to support you. Making sense of thoughts and behaviours can increase self-awareness, self-confidence and help to realise your potential.
I have experience of working with students and adults, navigating life’s challenges, helping to improve their sense of wellbeing. As a relational therapist, I aim to provide a safe space where clients’ past and current relationships can be explored, understood and improved. Key areas in which I work include concerns about depression, feeling sad, anxiety, difficulties with anger, self esteem and relationship problems.
Text me or email to arrange an initial meeting.
Practice description
I am a qualified and experienced Integrative counsellor offering the space for short or open-ended therapy, in a quiet private room or online. By listening to you, I offer a therapeutic relationship as a way to explore and make sense of feelings and behaviours, to work towards improving your sense of wellbeing.
I have experience of working with young people and adults, supporting them with life’s difficulties and changes, such as anxiety, depression, anger, identity, loss or challenging relationships. My approach is to be non-judgemental, respectful and compassionate as I listen, have the privilege to partake in your story and support you in your personal growth. As a relational therapist I aim to provide a safe space where the clients' past and current relationships can be explored, understood and improved.
My first session
I offer the first session at a reduced price of £25 for 50 minutes. Our first session will be exploring what has brought you to therapy, what your best hopes are and to see if we are a good enough fit. It is also an opportunity for you to ask any questions. If we decide to work together, we will sign contracts and begin forming our therapeutic relationship. I suggest meeting weekly for the first few sessions, we can then review and see what suits you best. What I can help with
