I’m Deborah and I am an experienced Relationship & Family Therapist with a Masters (Distinction) in Relationship Therapy.  

I am an accredited member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy.

I work for Relate and also see couples and families privately.

All my sessions are conducted via Zoom.

What is a Relate trained therapist?

Relate are the relationships experts. The organisation has been offering individual, couple and family therapy for decades.

A Relate trained therapist is someone who has been trained by Relate experts, as an Integrative Relationship Therapist and undergone 3 years of rigorous assessment in the field of Systemic and Psychodynamic theory and practice. The whole focus of the study is on the relationship.

There are Relate Centres throughout the UK. The nearest Relate Centres to Sheffield are located in Chesterfield and Barnsley.

Although there is no Relate in Sheffield there are Relate trained therapists.

I have recently completed Couples Therapy for Depression a year long course which is run and managed by the Tavistock Centre in London. This is the NHS approved course for couples where one or both partner/s may be experiencing depression.  

This means that I am a therapist who has met the criteria for accreditation as a "Couple Therapy for Depression IAPT Practitioner".   You will find me listed on Tavistock Relationship's list of approved practitioners.
