About me and my therapy practice
Therapy can assist in a variety of ways, from being a place to express feelings and thoughts in a judgment-free confidential space, to exploring deeply traumatic experiences with professional support.
You may want to deal with specific issues such as stress, anxiety, depression, bereavement, sexual or physical abuse, relationship issues, sexuality, ageing, culture or gender.
More generally therapy can be a form of personal development, an opportunity to increase your self-awareness, become more emotionally robust, learn more about your life story and develop your understanding of how you came to be you.
Whatever brings you to therapy, I will provide a supportive, confidential and professional space in which you can explore, discover and grow.
My background
Before qualifying as a therapist, I spent fifteen years as a lawyer specialising in court advocacy. I am familiar with the physical and emotional consequences of working in stressful environments, managing extreme emotions and complex relationships. It was my experiences in my legal career that sparked my interest in psychology and psychotherapy and I subsequently embarked on an intensive five-year training in counselling and psychotherapy.
What happens in the first session?
In your first session, you and I will have an opportunity to discover more about each other and whether I am the right therapist for you. I will ask you some basic questions about you, what brings you to therapy and what you hope to gain. There is no binding commitment to continue in therapy with me, but if you decide to continue, the next step is to mutually design a bespoke therapeutic environment, incorporating how you want to explore the issues you are bringing, at what pace, depth and for how long.

About me and my therapy practice
I offer low-cost supervision to counsellors and psychotherapists while I train for my Diploma in Supervision (2023-2024).
As one of my supervisees, you could be in private practice, working in an organisation, seeing individuals, couples or groups.
Frequency can be weekly, fortnightly, or monthly.
Sessions can be in person, online or by telephone.
My supervision style is field-theoretical, phenomenological, embodied and experimental. Consequently, sessions can be supportive, awareness-enhancing and fun.
In the first session, we can discuss how to tailor your sessions to fit your practice and your needs.
If you'd like to arrange a session with me, please get in touch.
