About me and my therapy practice

Thank you for taking a look at my profile

I  have experience of working with children, young people and adults in schools, colleges and within the community.

I have experience of working with grief and trauma and recently completed training for supporting bereaved parents with baby loss.

I understand how losing a baby can feel very lonely and isolating, how both parents can grieve/cope in different ways, and how important it is to for both parents to gain support. As a counsellor I provide a safe space for you to tell your story, to listen and understand your pain, emotions, thoughts, feelings and to help with triggers and day to day living.

I completed training with Petals (Pregnancy Expectations Trauma and Loss Society) Supporting Parents Following Baby Loss

I provide support with

Miscarriage

Recurrent Miscarriage

Termination of pregnancy due to medical reasons

Termination of pregnancy due to foetal anomaly

Stillbirth

Neonatal death

Pregnancy After Loss

As a counsellor my aim is to provide individuals with a warm, welcoming, and non judgemental environment where clients can feel safe to explore and understand their own struggles and how they affect their day to day life.

My approach is client led, and focuses on the individuals potential to make new choices and decisions to enable them to solve their own issues.

I also have over 10 years experience of working in the mental health sector as a support worker/healthcare assistant for MIND, Let's Talk Well Being Service (IAPT), Rethink, Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust and Women's Aid Integrated Services (working with children in refuge).
