Available for sessions from 1pm to 10pm Monday to Thursday.
I don't work with set time frames, some people just need one or two sessions to work on something specific, whereas others find therapy a staple in life.
I do however recommend 6 weekly sessions to begin with so that we can build the foundations of a working relationship, this will allow you to feel safe and able to be vulnerable and will allow me to learn your experience and situation fully enough to be able to help support you in an individual way.
About me and my therapy practice
Hi Folks,
Life is messy right? Ever feel like your brain is so full and you can’t work through it? Well that is one of the many things therapy can help with, my name is Jackie Quinn and I have been a person-centred Psychotherapist for over 9 years. In the current world climate more and more finding a safe, private and non-judgmental space to sort through our thoughts is becoming harder and harder.
So you’re here on my page which leads me to believe that you are thinking of looking for help…Well done you. The first step is often the hardest. What is therapy I hear you ask, so here is the official blurb but it is important to note that your therapy is what you make of it, you are in charge of it every step of the way.
I will provide a confidential, non-judgemental, safe space for you to explore your thoughts, feelings, behaviours, and life patterns. Together we will explore your life situation and establish your desired goals. The aim of the counselling process is not for counsellors to solve client’s problems, rather a way to assist the growth process and self-awareness so you as the client are better equipped to deal with current and future problems. Therapy is different for everyone, I adapt my way of working and pace of working to each individual client. I believe therapy should not be thought of as a sprint to feel better, rather a marathon that at times can feel painful and emotional but with a real sense of achievement at the end. . We will figure out what is best for you, together, there are no expectations on you to set goals, you are free to make them as you go along but they are never enforced on you and should always be thought of as flexible. Regardless of how your journey goes and what ups and downs you may face, I will be jogging alongside you, encouraging and supporting the whole time.
