About me and my therapy practice

Many of us can feel overwhelmed and troubled at some stage in our lives and we can find it difficult to understand our thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. This may lead us to feel lonely and confused as we attempt to navigate a new way forward.

You may have experienced life changing circumstances, resulting in feelings of grief or loss. Maybe you still carry unresolved issues from your past which impact on your daily life. This may lead you to feel trapped, unhappy or discontent with no understanding as to why. Whilst change can enable us to grow in a more positive direction, I understand it can also be daunting and perhaps something you have been avoiding until now.

I appreciate that finding someone who will actively listen to you and strive to understand your unique perspective on life can be difficult. I will offer you a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space in which you can start to explore the issues that concern you. As an integrative counsellor, I draw upon different theories and creativity to suit you as an individual. I hold onto the belief that we can all grow in a more positive direction given the right support and environment in which to do so.

I am an experienced, compassionate counsellor with a Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ-accredited Diploma from the Wealden Institute of Psychology. I have worked for over 5 years within an East Sussex-based Counselling charity, with previous experience as a Bereavement Counsellor within a local Hospice. Within these roles, I have worked with a diverse range of clients, each of whom has brought their own individual reason for seeking counselling. I adhere to the current Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ ethical framework on continuing professional development.

Practice description

Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ

I work from a quiet and pleasant room within a counselling practice in Tunbridge Wells. This is conveniently located in the Pantiles area close to parking and Tunbridge Wells station.

I also have a small private practice which is located close to Hailsham, Heathfield and Uckfield.

My first session

Initially our first point of contact would be a brief, introductory telephone conversation (for which there will be no charge). From there we can arrange our first session, which would take the form of an assessment. Although this does involve some paperwork and questions, it will allow me the opportunity to get to know you more, understand what brings you to counselling and if you think I am the right counsellor for you.

I offer both short and long term counselling, each session being 50 minutes. We will meet on the same day and time each week. I would suggest you start with 6 sessions, but this can be discussed during your initial assessment and reviewed throughout.
