About me and my therapy practice
It is most likely, you are currently experiencing something, which has brought you to seek support. No matter what is troubling you, psychotherapy can be a place to meet your own (often hidden) resources.
Working together through the process of therapy is useful in receiving mirroring, reflective questions to open one鈥檚 awareness to alternative perspectives, as well as a contained space to explore your internal landscape of thoughts, feelings and intuition. Within a safe, non-judgemental environment, you may feel more able to meet any unease you are experiencing, as a means to foster change you wish to see.
I aim to meet and see you, as and where you are, in a relationship based on equality, unconditional positive regard, compassion and empowerment. I invite inquiry into body-based experiences, to foster presence, inner guidance, emotional regulation, trauma resolution, interpersonal skills, embodiment, empathy and greater clarity in mind perception.
While most often people participate in their sessions through verbal dialogue, the possibility of working with breath, visualisation, meditation, dreams, movement, sound, drawing, and/or sand are useful tools to explore, express and integrate the unconscious.
Psychotherapy is often a long-term commitment of several years, however sometimes the work feels complete over a few months. Some people choose to focus on a specific matter over the course of a few weeks. The length of our work is determined at the beginning of therapy, upon having gone through an assessment to glean what our work together will entail and to decide whether we are suitable working together.
Practice description
I hold a diploma and research MA in transpersonal integrative psychotherapy, through The Centre of Counselling and Psychotherapy Education, London.
Alongside my private practice, I work as a therapist at Priory Woking, in their mental health programme. Before establishing my private practice, I worked as a bereavement counsellor for Marie Curie, a counsellor at St. Ann鈥檚 Hospital, Phoenix Unit (a service specialising in eating disorders), and as a psychotherapist for Fresh Start Low Cost Counselling and Psychotherapy Services.
My continued professional development has led me to incorporate further skills in working with trauma, dreamwork and embodied awareness practices (specifically 鈥淎uthentic Movement鈥 and 鈥淔ocusing鈥), as a means to bridge body, mind and spirit.
