About me and my therapy practice
Nature based therapy is somehting I've been grateful to be able to offer for over 7 years now. I am a Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ accredited therapist and the focus of my work is to support you to explore the root causes of your emotional difficulties and to find a way forward to acceptance and change. The outcome being a better relationship with yourself and more fulfilling relatiosnhip with others around you. The natural world can be a help to foster a calming place to explore who you are and how you would like things to be.
My first session
When exploring the possibilty of working outside, it can be helpful to first have an initial session either in room or online. We can discuss your current needs and any questions you have in a free 15 minute telephone consultation. We would then book an initial assessment, in which we can explore your reasons for coming to counselling and to discuss what type of session would suit you best.

About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I'm Lisa. I am an Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ Accredited Integrative Counsellor. I help and support adults who are experiencing high levels of anxiety and depression. You may be experiencing this after a life changing event, such as a bereavement, a redundancy or relationship breakdown or this may be something you've experienced on and off throughout your life. Sometimes it can be too much to cope on our own and counselling sessions offer the space to explore and process what is happening for you and how you may be able to find a way to cope. You may have found that things that have previously worked well for are no longer working with the same affect. It takes a huge amount of courage to ask for help when we need it, and this is an important first step.
I draw on different theories and approaches depending on what you need from our time together. I place an important emphasis on the quality of the relationship between the two of us. I follow your lead and pace, what is important to you, what do you feel they need to address, what has worked before, what works now.
I may use some psychoeducational diagrams, and in a session I may encourage you to engage in some creative exercises to help explore your experience at a deeper level.
I have a keen interest and knowledge of neuroscience, which I incorporate into my work with clients. I find this a particularly powerful way of helping my clients understand how they came to be who they are, how they respond to things, and that neuroplasticity allows for the potential of real change.
Practice description
I would describe myself as a caring and compassionate counsellor. I specialise in anxiety and depression, bereavement and trauma related bereavement, Infant loss, life changing events.I offer a free 15 minute telephone consultation. In which we can discuss your current needs and availability.
After which we may then arrange an initial assessment of half an hour (£40) to explore your needs. This is also an opportunity for you to see how you feel with me, and to ask any questions you may have about how we will work together. We can then move onto counselling sessions (From £55 a session for telephone, £60 online and £70 in room), this can be short focused work- around 6-8 weeks or ongoing sessions, until you feel ready to end.
I offer online and telephone counselling, which enables many clients to access counselling safely and increase accessibility to clients especially during this time.
I offer Nature and walking therapy in locations in Brentwood and Chelmsford. Recent research into ecotherapy supports the benefits of engaging with the natural world in conjunction with addressing and talking about difficult events, thoughts and emotions. I am happy to talk about the similarities and differences of working outdoors compared to in room or online if you would like more information.
I have received additional training in Online and Outdoor counselling to deliver this in an informed and safe manner.
My first session
In our first session together, I aim to gain more understanding of who you are and what would be helpful for you during our time together.
