About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I offer online platform and telephone sessions during the week to offer more accessible therapy. I have been carrying out extensive online and telephone sessions since 2016 as an addition to my practices (across Kent and London formerly).
I work with a wide range of issues for individuals and couples.
The client-counsellor relationship is vitally important. Many studies show that this is a major factor in a client's autonomy. You are the key to knowing whether a therapist is right for you.
I draw on knowledge of various approaches to help reduce your psychological distress and enhance well-being. The core theory I draw on is Humanistic, but I also bring in elements of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Transactional Analysis, Mindfulness, Transpersonal and inner child work. I also implement positive psychology, as well as examine core beliefs and constructs. There can also be creative aspects, including guided visualisations. I have an MSc in Psychology (BPS Accred) which adds to the therapy with Sport Psychology being my core research.
We can be organic when we are born, yet we build layers of experiences, traumas, beliefs, constructs, schemas and knowledge. It's gaining understanding of these that can allow us to start understanding ourselves.
About Me:
I am a health advocate and believe that a healthy mind and body is vital to our positive human optimal functioning and well-being. It is scientifically proven that our stomach also acts as our second brain, so feeding ourselves with the right fuel and being active in varied ways is important for our psychological and physical immune system and microbiome.
I have extensive knowledge of nutrition through my passion and CPD. I exercise daily (CrossFit WoDs, boxing, spinning, pilates, weights and walking) and practice mindfulness. I also have a keen interest in sport psychology, fitness and enjoy spending quality time and connection with friendships and family.
Practice description
I offer a safe, confidential and comfortable setting and have worked in schools, drug rehab, and in private practices across Tunbridge Wells, Rochester, Harley Street & Liverpool Street in London. However, I'm working remotely via online and telephone from March 2020 onwards. I offer a confidential space online and telephone for one-to-one sessions, family and couples therapy. I will communicate with you ahead of the booked and secured session to discuss any questions.
Telephone & Online - £62 (individual). With the initial/assessment session reduced to £55 for 50 minutes sessions.
£80 for couples and family (two people from 18 years and above) for 1 hour.
I may be able to offer a limited concessionary rate if needed.
I am always happy to answer any questions you may have.
I am self-employed at Freedom Living Counselling and also work for Wellness & Parent Cloud.
My first session
Information gathering is an important part of the initial counselling session. In order to work effectively, an assessment is carried out with you. This explores what brings you to counselling, relevant history, symptoms, your expectations and the focus of therapy.
The therapeutic relationship between the counsellor and client/s determines how effective therapy becomes (as research suggests). The first session explores the nature of the work and how this work might be achieved together. It's also great opportunity to ask any questions you may have.

Abuse, ADD / ADHD, Addictions, Anger management, Anxiety, Autism spectrum, Bereavement, Cancer, Child related issues, Chronic fatigue syndrome / ME, Cultural issues, Depression, Health related issues, Identity issues, Infertility, Life coaching, Loss, Menopause, Men's issues, OCD, Personal development, Phobias, Post-traumatic stress, Pregnancy related issues, Redundancy, Relationships, Self esteem, Sexual identity, Sexuality, Spirituality, Stress, Trauma, Women's issues, Work related issues
