About me and my therapy practice
After a successful career in commerce, experiences in my own life taught me how counselling could bring about positive and significant changes in people鈥檚 lives. This led me in the direction of professional training. My clinical practice is directed by a sound theoretical knowledge base in humanistic counselling and integrated with current therapeutic strategies including cognitive behavioural and solution focussed theories and underpinned by a trauma-informed framework. I have worked in a variety of therapeutic settings and private practice and held clinical and managerial responsibility for different voluntary sector counselling services. Other counselling experience includes counselling workplace employees for a UK multi-national company and work as an affiliate counsellor with several large UK EAP providers. I offer a professional service in a safe, welcoming environment built upon trust, respect and confidentiality.
