About me and my therapy practice
Welcome and thank you for visiting my profile. I qualified as a Person-Centred Therapist in 2016 and I am now working towards my accreditation in Gestalt Psychotherapy.
I will work alongside you so that we can both become interested in how and who you are. I will support you to develop a fresh curiosity in yourself. I believe in spontaneity and creativity as part of meeting you without judgment, but with excitement, with interest and fresh eyes. However you choose to journey through, I hope you find what you are looking for.
Practice description
My approach is relational, embodied, collaborative, compassionate and creative. I would aim to support you to discover the wisdom of your symptoms rather than dismissing them.
It feels like we are all holding on tightly in the face of uncertainty right now. How do we find a way through this time and not feel saturated and lost? How do we find a way to ease into this uncertainty with a sense of ok'ness? As everything around us changes we can often feel stuck in old patterns that are of no use to us now.
I have my own room in the City Centre of Glasgow. I can also offer online or telephone sessions if this suited you better and it felt like the right way to work together.
My first session
A solid safe connection is so important. Normally I see the first session as an introduction. A meeting. This is a chance for us to get a good sense of each other and what might be possible for our work together. I normally would then offer 2 more sessions to explore more in depth and then agree to our commitment together.
I can work in an open-ended way or short-term.
