About me and my therapy practice

Here at A LITTLE ROOM OF THERAPY, our reflective and confidential practice provides an empathic, understanding and non-judgemental space where both men, women, elders, young persons and children can explore through our therapeutic services, ways to bring meaning, understanding and awareness into their lives. By gentle exploration we work to support your journey through therapy, to make sense and find meaning to encourage ways to understand and move you forward through your anxiety, trauma or difficulties. Our counselling service provides professionally qualified interventions that deal with many problems including generalised anxiety disorder, relationship, family issues, depression, phobias, separation, divorce, abuse, panic disorders, bereavement, redundancy, low self-esteem and child related issues. These are just a few of the areas that we are experienced in. I am also experienced in working with clients with D.I.D and am a member of POD's (Positive Outcomes for Dissociative Survivors).  As an Integrative counsellor, I work with a variety of counselling techniques. Collaborating with you at every step of the way to serve your current needs, as you as the client are always at the heart of what I do. Life does not come with a guide book and often we can find ourselves overwhelmed and distressed and not sure where to turn to. Sometimes you may not even be aware of the root cause of your problems, but know that something feels ‘off’. Life in general can on occasions feel very tough! During those tough times I can provide you with safe confidential space to talk this through, offering you a non-judgemental view, enabling you to unravel your own thoughts and emotions. I or my colleague are always available to speak with you about any concerns or questions that you may have before you engage in your first therapy session, so please do not hesitate to contact me. I am here to listen and to help enable you to take back the control over your life.

My first session

All clients will be contacted via telephone for an initial consultation, this will usually last 10 - 20 minutes, depending on what the client knows about therapy.

You will then have the opportunity to receive either your assessment documentation via email, which can be sent back to us ahead of your session, or alternatively this can formulate part of your first session.
