Practice description
I am an integrative therapist with over 9 years’ experience. I am HCPC registered psychological therapist and a registered member of the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ (Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ) employed by the NHS. I am also qualified as a Gender and Sexual diversity therapist (Pink therapist) since 2015 and have extensive experience of offering therapy to gender and sexual diversity clients, including queer, gender queer, non-binary and trans clients; lesbian, gay men, bisexual men and women.
I am qualified to work with people with HIV, anxiety, bereavement and loss, depression; identity confusion and change; coming out; self-esteem and shame, trauma and post-traumatic stress and also male survivors of sexual abuse and sexual trauma (rape, assault etc). I have particular interests in sexuality and in spirituality; however, I work with clients of all faiths and none. I have also lived and worked overseas and am very experienced working with cultural differences. I work with both individuals and couples. I am experienced in working with young people and adults and with people in a range of relationship styles including monogamous, polyamorous and open relationships. I work with all members of LGBT+ and those who do not identify as such but are questioning or exploring this aspect of their sexuality, regardless of their sexual orientation. I work with people exploring their sexuality and how they experience their gender identity.
I have also several years’ research experience and my articles are published in several peer-reviewed journals. In my previous research, I focused on how social factors, particularly social isolation, loneliness, and family rejection, impact individuals' well-being.
The main theoretical approaches that I use in my sessions are Cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), person cantered therapy (PCT), also I incorporate psychoeducation and mindfulness in my sessions.
My first session
In your first session, I will spend some time to get to know you and the issues that brought you into treatment. I use both formal, structured interview and free-flowing conversation to get to know my clients. I will ask you about your presenting concerns, as well as your history and background. Most likely, you’ll find yourself talking about your current symptoms or struggles, as well saying a bit about your relationships, your interests, your strengths, and your goals.
Most importantly, I am hoping that in that first session, we will begin making a connection and developing a working relationship and trust. I am hoping that you will feel safe, accepted, respected, and relatively comfortable in your session with me. Nevertheless, I am aware that not all therapists are right for every person, so I would like you to use your first session to assess whether or not the therapist you chose feels like a good match for your personality.
Therapy is a very personal process. Sometimes it is necessary to talk about painful feelings or difficult decisions, so you may go through a period of feeling worse than when you started. However, therapy should enable you to feel better in the long-run.
If you do experience a period of feeling worse, talk to me about it to ensure you get the best out of your therapy.

About me and my therapy practice
Do you want to make your organization psychology infomed?
I worked as a lead psychologist for developing Psychology Informed Environment (PIE) with pathway partners (The collective name for homeless hostels catering for adults with multiple and complex needs) to support the implementation of psychologically informed practice through teaching, training, clinical supervision and consultation. I also provided treatment to clients as required, across the pathway, and hold a caseload of clients. One of the lastest projects was in London Borough Of Camden where I worked with the Camden Pathway Services to develop and implement evaluation of the psychologically informed practice, formulating and undertaking clinical audit and research project.
I offer:
Scoping and evaluating the current environment through a mixed-method research
Developing a comprehensive model and structure based on the outcome of the research, environment and organization needs
Developing a learning model
Teaching and training individuals and groups
Clinical supervision and consultation
Providing reflecting practice
