Availability
Text me initially on 07938498114 or phone and leave a message. Let me know when you will be available. My phone is off while I am working but I will get back to you.
We can arrange a short free telephone or online consultation to discuss your current situation and any questions you may have concerning therapy to give you the opportunity to see if arranging an appointment feels right for you.
I provide short-term or long-term counselling to suit you.
Flexible appointments available daytimes, evenings and weekends. Appointments can vary by day and time.
I provide face to face therapy in a quiet, comfortable room in the Cookridge, Tinshill area not far from Leeds ring road, Horsforth station and on the number 6 bus route. Free parking is provided.
Working online or by telephone means that you can choose lower fees, choose your own quiet, confidential, convenient space. You can also save time and money on travelling and parking costs.
I also offer outside walk and talk therapy. Walking and talking therapeutically in nature can help reduce anxiety, stress and depression and walking side by side rather than being face to face can be more comfortable for some people.
I work with many adult clients on the autistic spectrum. Clients with Asperger's, autism and ADHD report significant lowering of anxiety on having therapy with a therapist trained in neurodiversity. This enables them to then to discuss the areas where they may wish to gain greater understanding of themselves and others, improve relationships and wellbeing.
Fortnightly appointments are available.
Lower cost sessions are sometimes available.
I trained in integrative, relational therapy so we would be working very much together on the issues that bring you to counselling in ways that suit you as an individual.
About me and my therapy practice
Is anxiety, stress, depression or lack of self esteem holding you back? Perhaps past relationships were difficult or present relationships are challenging? Maybe you feel like you are not reaching your full potential, at work, socially or in a relationships? If you feel stuck, I can help you. I work with individuals and couples and can support you to find a better way to go forward and feel more positive.
I believe talking together, in a warm, empathic way, can help you to consider and make choices to improve your wellbeing, the way you feel within yourself and the way you are in the world.
I would work with you on anything at all that concerns you. I have particular experience in helping people with the anxiety, stress, depression that can come alongside the experiences that life has dealt us. I have helped people through relationship and workplace relationship difficulties.
I have counselled many people experiencing loss, bereavement and changes in life circumstances like separation, divorce, redundancy helping them to become unstuck from the current feelings holding them back from feeling better.
I am experienced and have completed significant training in working with clients, couples and family members who would like to explore the impact and traits of Asperger's, autism, ADHD and neurodiversity. I work with those who have a diagnosis, may decide to seek a diagnosis or who decide that they do not need a diagnosis but would like to explore neurodiversity together in therapy. I am a member of the Aspire Autism network, working together to provide best practice in neurodiversity support. This is one of the reasons that I offer walk and talk therapy.
I take part in training on a regular basis to keep up to date and inform myself further on areas that that may help current clients.

My first session
During a first paid appointment, it is not unusual to feel a bit apprehensive. I find that the majority of my clients say that they felt much more comfortable by the end of the appointment. We would be talking about where you are at the moment, how you feel about that and where you might like to be: you probably have some idea but might not know this exactly as goals develop as counselling progresses. After this first appointment, you can decide if continuing feels right for you, and we would agree a certain number of sessions with opportunities to review how it is going for you and whether you wish to update the focus of the therapy as you begin to feel better.
