About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I'm Fiona. I have 20 years of therapeutic experience and specialise in grief counselling. I provide counselling sessions for individuals online, by phone or in person, based in Tunbridge Wells High Street.
I offer up to 12 sessions where we will have the space and time to explore your personal experience of bereavement and loss.
I am a Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ Accredited Counsellor and have worked in palliative care / Hospices for the past 10 years which has given me extensive insight into the complexities of death, dying and bereavement.
Practice description
If you have experienced the death of a family member, friend or colleague, it is normal to experience a range of emotions, whether the death was expected or sudden and out of the blue.
You might be feeling tearful, sad and the acute pain of loss but you might also be feeling numb and unable to feel very little at all. Many people feel irritable and find it hard to connect with others. And its not unusual to feel disorientated, overwhelmed and confused.
Navigating these feelings alongside the practical challenges of adjusting to life without the person who has died can feel overwhelming. This can be made harder by the arrival of difficulties in other relationships maybe with a partner, family member or friend.
I provide and safe, non judgemental space where you can express what might sometimes be challenging thoughts and feelings. We can work together towards a deeper understanding of the loss you are dealing with and other related issues that have brought you to counselling. And we can consider new approaches that better support you as you engage in your life at the current time.
I charge £65 per session and offer up to 12 sessions of counselling.
My first session
In our initial meeting, we will reflect on the loss you have experienced and the emotional, mental, practical and spiritual impacts this is having on you and your life.
I will let you know more about the type of counselling I provide and we can explore how we might work together going forwards.
(If I do not feel I am the best person to work with you I will provide you with other options where you can access suitable support.)
