About me and my therapy practice

Hello and Welcome!

I'm Cherena Morlese, a qualified integrative psychotherapist with over seven years of experience in providing compassionate support to both children and adults, including individuals with special needs. My professional journey has taken me through esteemed organizations such as Barnardo’s Trauma Clinic, the NHS, and various school settings, where I have had the privilege of helping many navigate their unique challenges.

I embrace diversity and culture in all aspects of my work, ensuring that I am attuned to each client's individual needs. I deeply believe that "one shoe doesn't fit all," which is why I adapt my counselling methods to suit you specifically. Understanding that we all learn and express ourselves differently, I focus on engaging the five senses, creating a therapeutic experience tailored to your unique way of processing and understanding.

You've already taken the most significant step by reaching out for support, and I commend your courage in seeking help. Together, we can hold the candle of hope and explore a path toward healing and growth. Let’s connect and schedule your counselling session—I'm here to support you every step of the way.

Warm regards,
Cherena Morlese

Counselling Practice Statement

As a dedicated and compassionate counsellor, my practice is built on a diverse foundation of therapeutic modalities, including psychodrama, person-centred therapy, art therapy, talking therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), interpersonal therapy, and transactional analysis. This eclectic approach allows me to tailor my methods to meet the unique needs of each individual, fostering a safe and supportive environment for personal growth and healing.

I offer therapy through various formats, including telephone and video sessions, which provide flexibility and accessibility for clients in today's fast-paced world. Additionally, I recognize the therapeutic potential of nature and personal spaces; therefore, I also conduct outdoor sessions and home visits to create a comfortable and conducive atmosphere for exploration and dialogue.

Understanding that each client’s journey is distinct, I provide both short-term and long-term therapy options. Whether you are seeking immediate support or looking for in-depth exploration over time, my goal is to empower you to navigate challenges, enhance self-awareness, and cultivate a fulfilling life.

Together, we can embark on this transformative journey. Your well-being is at the heart of my practice, and I am here to support you every step of the way.
