About me and my therapy practice
One-to-One and Relationship Counselling
There are times when life can seem overwhelming and difficult to cope with. At these moments we all need support and counselling can give you the time and space to explore difficult issues and find new ways of being.
So whether it’s a specific event or ongoing difficulty such as anxiety, depression or trauma, counselling can allow you to take back control and move forward with your life. Relationship counselling can offer you both time and space to explore greater connection and intimacy, and understand and manage conflict and difference differently within your relationship
Attending counselling is about your well-being, self exploration and self development as well as learning new strategies and coping mechanisms to deal with difficult and complex events in your life and changes you wish to make.
I am committed to inclusion and working with you to understand the impact of difference upon the self and within society. I have experience and interest, both professional and personal, in exploring diversity and inclusion including neurodiversity, autism, sexuality, sex and gender.
My role is to be alongside you as you encounter current issues, past pain, as you learn more about yourself, your relationships and develop the courage and skills to make positive changes and empowering decisions.
Primarily I work in a relational manner, aware that the quality of our relationship will have the greatest impact. This means I will work hard to develop a trusting and collaborative relationship that gives you the safety you need to encounter current and past relationships. Together we will become aware of the impact of our counselling relationship in the 'here and now' and use this to build emotional resilience and strength.
I believe we all have the ability to realise our potential and live a life full of rich abundance. Together we can uncover this potential and discover who you can be.
