About me and my therapy practice

Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ

I'm a Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ Accredited psychotherapist. I have worked as a counsellor and psychotherapist with adults and young people since 2001. I also offer Anxiety Management and DBT, to help you develop practical skills to manage negative emotions.

In addition to the traditional talking therapies of psychotherapy and counselling, I offer the more practically skills based Anxiety management and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy. Anxiety management will teach you a set of skills to reduce the effects of stress and anxiety. It can be helpful to address the many forms of anxiety, such as,insomnia, low self-esteem,OCD, work and exam stress, eating issues, and habitual worrying.

Dialectical Behavioural Therapy which is a form of CBT that teaches practical skills for developing good psychological health. Research has shown that DBT is effective in helping people with a wide range of psychological issues. Using DBT, I will help you learn the practical skills to improve your mental health. DBT can be used to help with behavioural issues, such as, OCD, eating disorders, addiction and self-harming. It can also be effective with emotional disorders like anxiety, depression and anger. DBT is also helpful for people experiencing relational difficulties.

I trained as an Integrative therapist, training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Humanistic and Psychodynamic therapy. I use a Humanistic/ Existential therapeutic approach. The aim of which isn’t solely to help alleviate psychological distress but to also create a happier and more fulfilling life.

My approach aims to simultaneously alleviate distress, physical symptoms and address their underline cause. I work collaboratively; developing an open and trusting therapeutic relationship. I believe that therapy can be a rare opportunity to access the often untapped capacity of the individual. A chance to find clarity of purpose through the distress of psychological fog, creating a vision and direction towards a more meaningful existence.
