About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified integrative psychotherapist and counsellor with over 15 years experience. I am a member in good standing of the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ (Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ). I adhere to the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ code of ethics, which stresses the importance of a safe and reliable setting, confidentiality and continual professional development.
As an integrative practitioner, I am guided by the idea that no single approach to therapy is best in all situations. This means that I draw upon different models of psychology and psychotherapy, which allows me to work flexibly, considering your needs and experience. Broadly my approach has been influenced by psychodynamic and humanistic theories, recent findings in neuroscience, as well as existential-phenomenological philosophy. Using a dynamic toolbox of modalities helps me to create a safe and contained, relational space for you. It can be an empowering experience when we learn to take up space and care for our needs with as much compassion as we might offer a loved one.
My style has been described as gentle, empathic, collaborative and authentic.
I was drawn to the profession of psychotherapy by my desire to engage in meaningful work and by my love of people. I bring curiosity and dedication to the process of therapy. I aim to provide you with a warm, authentic relationship where you have the space to express yourself, to make discoveries, to grow and lead your fullest life. I also have a particular interest in creativity and nature; when appropriate, I may suggest that we bring one or the other into our work together.

Practice description
I work with adults (18+) and offer weekly sessions to individuals on either a short-term (typically 6-10 sessions) or a long-term (10+ sessions) basis. Each session lasts 50 minutes and ususally takes place at the same time and same day of the week, although I can offer some flexibility.
My fee is £70 for online sessions and £85 for in person sessions (including first meetings), lasting 50 minutes and due prior to the session. I will send you my bank details before our first meeting to facilitate this. For cancellations with less than 48 hours' notice, the session fee is still due. If I cancel, the fee is not payable for that session.
Please note that I take breaks at regular intervals over the year, including half term and school holidays. I will always endeavour to give you as much notice as possible for any planned absences and I ask that you do the same. In the case of missed sessions, I will do my best to offer you an alternate day and time but I may not always be able to do so.
My first session
Our first session is a mutual assessment and an opportunity for us to learn more about each other. This meeting normally involves taking a brief personal history and exploring your reasons for seeking therapy. By the end of the session we should both have a good idea of whether we can work together - although you are under no obligation to take up therapy at this point.
The cost is £70 for online and £85 for in person and the session lasts 50 minutes.
