About me and my therapy practice
Relationships are the core part of how we function in the world as human beings, whether it is partners, family or friends; my curiosity about how we relate to each other is fundamental to the work that I do whether it is counselling, training or supervision. I work in an integrative way, and encourage clients to explore what changes they wish to see in themselves and their lives. I am also a specialist consultant in coercive control and abuse; I can work with both those who feel that they are controlling and those who experience control in their relationships. I see individuals, and couples both separately and together where it safe and appropriate to do so.Practice description
My consulting rooms are large and comfortable, with floor to ceiling windows which provide a view of the (private) garden. there is a friendly receptionist to welcome you on arrival.
the session length is on hour; I prefer to work face to face, and for clients who have to travel a longer distance there is an option to have two sessions on one day, usually with a break in between.
My first session
There is no cost difference for the first session.
It is an opportunity for you and for me to explore whether I am the right person to help you. Once we have done this, and decided on next steps I can offer regular appointments in a fairly flexible way. Some people like to come at the same time each week, others need a more flexible arrangement depending on work/home commitments.
