About me and my therapy practice
If you are you suffering from anxiety, depression, feeling troubled, overwhelmed, stuck or unfulfilled, I provide a warm, supportive, confidential space to explore your difficulties.
We will work together to discover new possibilities and ways of being so you can live a richer more fulfilling life.
I offer a holistic approach that sees body, mind, emotions and spirit as inseparable aspects of being, all requiring care and concern. I will not impose fixed ideas but I will do all I can to facilitate your own meanings of life.
When life is difficult, therapy provides perspective, makes sense of what has happened and provides a basis for moving forward.
I believe that respect for the individual, understanding and being real are important qualities for therapy, they will underlie how I engage with you.
I have extensive experience of working with anxiety, generalised anxiety disorder, stress, sadness, depression, self harm, suicidal thoughts, anger, relationships, family issues, loss and bereavement, identity and existential issues, trauma, body dysmorphia, eating disorders and health related issues.
In addition I offer Autogenic Training a profound but simple self-help technique to rebalance the bodies physiological response to stress and reduce anxiety.

Practice description
I offer short term, time limited and open-ended therapy. For clients new to therapy I generally suggest an initial 12 sessions.
Therapy sessions can take place in person or online with COVID-19 safety measures in place.
My first session
I offer an initial consultation to discuss your situation and decide whether my approach is right for you. If we decide to work together a regular weekly session time will be agreed and reserved for you.
