About me and my therapy practice
We all struggle at times and I know how hard it can be to ask for help. Things are very difficult for many people at the moment and it may be that you are feeling anxious and isolated. You may be feeling unsupported or not want to worry friends or family .
Whether your mental health and well-being is suffering because of historic trauma, bereavement, financial stress or your current life situation, speaking with a qualified therapist can help you with the difficulties you face.
I provide a safe space for you to express your emotions and to explore your thoughts and feelings. We work to build a relationship where you feel supported and not judged.
I will work together with you to help you to understand your past and present, to set helpful, positive goals and move forward to a happier, healthier future.

Practice description
As a qualified, experienced counsellor, I provide confidential one to one counselling based on a Relational Integrative model.
I use a range of theories based on emotional and social development which I tailor to you as a unique individual with some CBT to build coping mechanisms.
I will work with you face to face or remotely using either video or telephone sessions. We will work together to understand your background and history and how you came to be in this dark place. Together we make sense of your story. Why you feel the way that you do. We will explore your current situation and what is preventing you from being who and where you want to be.
Understanding your feelings, responses and coping strategies empowers you to make informed choices about your situation and how to make changes to become the person you want to be.
My first session
It can feel quite daunting to come to a first therapy session. Many people feel anxious and unsure of what will happen.
I provide a warm, welcoming and safe environment where you can be open and honest about your feelings without fear of being judged. Everything you say to me is completely confidential.
In our first session together we will explore your reasons for seeking counselling and what you would like to achieve. It can be difficult to think of everything that you want to say, or to feel that you are not making sense. That's completely normal. Just saying things out load to someone who is understanding can be a huge relief. Your story is as individual as you are and we will take our time and work at your pace.
I will explain how I work and how I can help you.
During this session we will set goals for where you would like to be at the end of our work together.
Counselling is a deeply personal experience, it is not easy, but it is an important investment in yourself and your future.
I will treat you with understanding and respect and support you on this emotional journey.
