About me and my therapy practice

I am a Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ-registered, Person-Centred Counsellor with 30 years’ combined experience as a counsellor and former social worker. I provide online and face-to-face counselling to adults and young people (13+) from a private, dedicated therapy room in Warrington, Cheshire.

I am compassionate and caring with a down-to-earth attitude and ethical approach. I offer a safe and confidential space for you to discuss whatever you wish without pressure. No judgements, hurrying you or asking probing questions. Though I gently challenge self-limiting thoughts and behaviour, we work at your pace, towards the acceptance or changes YOU are looking for.

My career has specialised in early adversity and trauma but I am experienced in addressing a variety of difficulties, including anxiety, depression, bereavement, low self-esteem and family relationships. Experience has taught me that with support, people can overcome the most difficult of pasts and circumstances.

In addition to counselling, I am a Clinical Supervisor, overseeing the practice of other therapists. I am currently training as an ADHD Practitioner.

About me and my therapy practice

I have completed an Advanced Certificate in Clinical Supervision (including Telephone and Online Working), have full insurance and registration with the ICO.

I offer online and face-to-face Person-Centred Supervision to trainee and qualified counsellors working in either of these formats. My training is focused on practice with adults. However, with experience across the ages, encompassing 17 years' post-qualification counselling practice and a background in social work, I bring valuable insight on work with young people.

Practice description

I intend to provide a supportive, gently challenging environment for supervisees to reflect on their work, to ensure their ongoing development and ethical, effective practice.  In line with my practice, my focus remains on the importance of achieving mutual trust and openness. I aim to offer a safe and accepting space where you can bring all of yourself to supervision – doubts and areas for growth as well as achievements.

For more information, please see my therapist profile. I welcome enquiries from trainees regarding person-centred therapy.
