About me and my therapy practice
I work using the main therapeutic approaches including CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), Person Centred, Transactional Analysis and psychodynamic.
I aim to work according to your needs incorporating relational therapy in the context of helping you to look at yourself and how you relate to those around you. I work as an accredited fully qualified psychotherapist with specialist training in relationship counselling. I work at Relate (a counselling organisation specialising in relationships) as well as in private practice.
If you find yourself asking the following questions, then counselling may be a positive option for you to consider. For example, do you question whether you are good at relationships, that they seem too difficult? Do you find you are overwhelmed with anxiety, and cannot trust the decisions you make? Life can seem too much to bear when a relationship is breaking up or you have lost a loved one.
The process of examining patterns of behaviour and looking at how you cope with difficulties can help to highlight to you what is helpful and what is not. Counselling can help you to different ways to view and manage life's problems. It's not the problem often but it is how you look at it that makes all the difference to helping you find your own way ahead which is unique to you.
Counselling can help you find strategies that work for you to examining relationships close to you and your family and friends' influences upon you.
