About me and my therapy practice
I work with individuals and couples to bring an understanding to the problems and feelings you are facing in your life right now. I am interested in your past and how it has shaped you; I want to hear about the present issues that are troubling you and perhaps making you feel burdened or sad or frustrated. I am experienced and can offer you a reliable place to feel better.
Practice description
My main aim is to listen to you and help you understand how and why you feel as you do. I want to work with you to facilitate the changes you may be desperate for so you can live a life with less anxiety, feel less lonely or depressed
I am interested in what you're struggling with - it could be anything like relationship problems, trauma, bad thoughts, a stuck feeling about yourself, work stress, difficulties with sex. We start here and then I like to think about your recent and long term past.
I won't judge you, interrupt you or hurry you. I will reflect on what you tell me and what I feel you can't. The unspoken or unexplored elements of you are important. I'm a psychodynamic psychotherapist and counsellor, I believe past and present relationships are linked and in working with me the working relationship we build matters a great deal.
My first session
The first session is a 90 minute consultation. In this appointment I would invite you to speak openly and freely about what you are struggling with - the feelings, circumstances and history. I will ask to hear details of your past life experiences, background and relationships. You can start wherever you want to talk.
The fee for an individual initial consultation is £140 & £175 for a couples initial consultation.

About me and my therapy practice
I work with individuals and couples and however bad you are feeling or whatever is troubling you I will listen without interruption or judgment and help you find a way through. I am experienced and committed to offering a secure, warm and professional therapeutic experience to all.
Practice description
The therapy I offer is a place for you to talk in confidence without fear of judgement or interruption about the difficult feelings, thoughts or behaviours you are experiencing. I work with what you bring; I work to help you live and feel differently.
Your feelings may be overwhelming, disturbing, complicated or confusing. Your relationships, work, home or family life may be affected by the troubles you have. You may be frustrated, fearful, angry or confused; depressed, sad, lonely or at a loss. You are probably in need of support and understanding to work all this out and feel better.
I believe that our environment, past experiences and an unknown or unconscious element to our lives shapes the feelings we have, the relationships we are in and the difficulties we encounter.
Bad experiences, change, loss and illness are just some factors that can be trigger feeling low or lonely, anxious or depressed. Sometimes feelings can seem as if they come from nowhere or old ways of thinking and acting can recur.
Talking, sharing and thinking in therapy with me has the potential to open up different ways of feeling and then different ways of living. Talking in the short and long term can help.
I have returned to conducting sessions in person. The pandemic may have been a time of uncertainty, anxiety and loss for you. Emerging out of restrictions and isolation may also be a fearful and stressful experience. Relationships at home and at work may feel strained and emotions may be running high. Often past problems re-emerge and you may need to talk in confidence about all that troubles you.
My first session

This initial consultation allows you to see how it feels to talk to me before you commit to the therapy. I charge £140 for the initial consultation for individuals and £175 for a couples consultation.
