About me and my therapy practice
Life experience;
To give you an idea of my life journey; I started working in a plastic factory for some 15 years and have experienced losing my job through ill-health during this part of my life, I went back into education, gaining a qualification as an art & design teacher then as a counsellor. A new journey started taking me into working in mental health, schools, prisons and with cancer charities, this experience and knowledge will help me understand your journey of your life and the current problems that might be having an impact such as anxiety, stress, bereavement, cancer and many more.
Practice description
Contacting a counsellor is the first steps to deal with your worries/concerns/ issues Please be assured that I am non-directive I will move at your own pace.
I offer an initial half an hour free session via telephone or online which is useful for you to decide if you would like to go forward by telephone, online or face to Face sessions.
Sessions are held in a safe, comfortable, friendly, non-judgemental environment.
Face to Face appointments are held in my office, which is in an old Victorian cottage. I find that the calmness which comes with the location, can help people who may be anxious about coming to see me. If there is any way I can make your first visit more comfortable, please do let me know.

Practice description
In the supervision sessions, you will find a comfortable and supportive space to bring your work directly related to client sessions and may also include things that are more personal to you as personal matters can impact our work, I believe that we cannot compartmentalize ourselves. However, we will always bring the discussion back to the client and how your material may impact your work with the client. And vice versa.My first session
I offer a free 30 minute consultation so we can discuss you and your current practice and the context you are working in, and your current caseload, your goals for CPD or career development and what you would like to get out of supervision on a regular basis.
I will explain how I work and my areas of knowledge and expertise, including private practice, You will be able to ask any questions to help you find out if I am the right fit to be your supervisor and we can discuss how our sessions might look if we decide to go forward.
