About me and my therapy practice
I work in private practice and am based opposite The British Museum, Central London. I offer one to one sessions in a confidential space on a once weekly basis. Each session lasts 50 minutes.
**Please note: as we come out of lockdown, I am available in-person on a Tuesday, and online the rest of the week.**
What sort of problems might therapy help me with?
Counselling and psychotherapy take place in a private and confidential setting. It is a one-to-one collaborative process between the person seeking help and myself. People have sought help from me when struggling with difficult emotional problems such as:
- feeling stressed or anxious
- coming to terms with losses such as bereavement, divorce or redundancy
- lacking confidence, self-esteem or that you are under achieving
- an inability to make or sustain good relationships
- repeatedly becoming involved in unsatisfactory or destructive relationships
- feeling depressed, sad or empty
- lacking a sense of purpose in life
- having unresolved issues from the past
- problems at work
- family conflicts
Practice description
I provide a safe, calm and confidential environment, where you can identify, explore and work through what is troubling you.
Through the relationship between us, I aim to help you discover and develop new and effective ways of approaching your life.
My first session
Beginning Therapy
It is not uncommon to feel unsure or hesitant about seeking help. A preliminary session or sessions is an opportunity for you to meet me and consider if you think it would be helpful for you to continue. There is no commitment to ongoing work at this stage.
If you do decide to continue, we will both commit to a regular day and time that we can meet for once weekly work. This commitment and frequency is an important part of the work.
