About me and my therapy practice

* I am currently offering online appointments.

I have over 18 years of experience working in mental health. In addition to my private therapy and supervision role, I work for Oxford University in several positions. These include student and staff therapist, group facilitator, clinical supervisor, and service manager of the specialist mental health and neurodiversity mentor team. I provide clinical supervision for the Riverside Counselling Service based in Oxfordshire and Oxford Brookes University's mentor team. I have also worked for the mental health charity Mind.

I gained my professional qualifications in counselling and psychotherapy from Oxford University in the psychodynamic modality. In addition to my counselling qualifications, I have an ESRC-funded Masters in the Sociology of Education focusing on diversity. I also work on fostering panels for the placement of 'looked after' children.

Over my years of practice, I have become more integrative in my approach, which now involves supporting people using short-term, proactive, and solution-focused models. Equally, I offer long-term psychotherapy as required.

My experience enables me to work across the age and gender spectrum with various difficulties, including men's health and wellbeing, and clients from more adverse backgrounds.

I can provide:

• Short and long-term 1-1 one counselling for adults

• Clinical supervision 1-1, pairs and groups

• Specialist mentoring for students, this would involve a focus on managing the demands of study
