About me and my therapy practice
Hi, I am Zanda. I have over several years experience of working as a counsellor with adults, children and young people enabling client's to overcome a wide range of challenges. I am registered and accredited with the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ (Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ).
I have experience of working in a variety of settings within the NHS Talking Therapies, MIND, bereavement services, Employment Assistant Programmes (EAP), sexual violence and abuse services as a counsellor working with adults, children and young people.
Practice description
I have been trained and use the CRAFT model that draws on sections from both the following models:
Proctors Clinical Model Of Supervision (1987) covering three areas: normative, formative and restorative.
Hawkins & Shohet – 7 Eyed Model Of Supervision (1985) focusing on the relationship between client, therapist and supervisor.
The CRAFTS model combines creativity, reflective practice, awareness, focus, transformation and systemic thinking:
Creativity: integrating creative methods into supervision, encouraging thinking outside the box. Giving depth and exploring new perspectives, by using imagery and colour to enhance the therapeutic supervisory experience.
Reflection: Encouraging reflective practice on therapy sessions, during and between supervision sessions. Reflecting on what went well, what could have gone better?
Awareness: Working together increasing awareness within supervision, in alignment with the Seven-Eyed Model. Exploring aspects of self, parallel process, transference and countertransference.
Focus: The main goal-making sure that the counsellor is working ethically and that clients, are getting the best care possible. Aiding counsellors' development, learning new skills, and handling tough situations effectively.
Transformation: What are the transformations/key takeaways/learnings are there for the supervisee. Highlighting the potential for personal and professional transformation through the supervisory process.
Systemic: .Help the supervisee explore the wider context, including but not exclusively the social dynamics, ghosts, stakeholders and various cultural influences impacting the therapeutic process.
**It would be worth having coloured pens and paper ready for each supervision session; I may also suggest other creative interventions using items such as symbols or working with imagery. **
My first session
The the first supervision I feel it's important we get to know each other to ensure the way I work is suitable for your supervision. We will talk through the supervision contract, identifying the roles and responsibilities for the supervisor and you the supervisee. Then discuss supervision goals, client work, wellbeing and more.
