Our member, Natasha Page, is celebrating receiving National Lottery funding for an online support group to help women boost their self-esteem and build mental resilience.聽聽

Natasha won funding for her 鈥樷 project inspired by her own struggles with self-esteem, as well as her experience as a psychotherapist supporting hundreds of clients on their journey towards higher self-esteem.

Free online group therapy sessions

The project invites all women (of any age, race or background) to attend eight free online fortnightly group therapy/coaching sessions designed by Natasha鈥檚 professional and personal experience of shedding old, destructive thought patterns.

鈥淕rowing up in Radford, Nottingham, I struggled to find my place. Neither black nor white, I never felt a sense of belonging 鈥 exacerbated by the bullying I endured throughout school,鈥 says Natasha, 鈥淚 also carried the weight of dyslexia, but without diagnosis until much later in life, I received no support.

鈥淐rippled by low self-esteem, I 鈥 like many other young people in my low-income area 鈥 developed a series of unhealthy relationships and turned to drinking, drugs, and even shoplifting.

鈥淢y own experience not only gives me a compassionate perspective to support the difficult journeys of others, but it鈥檚 also informed my practice as a professional. I鈥檓 dedicated to being a vocal advocate for marginalised people who grew up like I did.

鈥淢any people come to therapy feeling unable to change how they view themselves, but I can help provide the stepping stones to recovery. I want to help women recognise their worth, boost their self-esteem and achieve their goals.鈥

An online community group will be active after the sessions, to keep connections and support women with personal and self-esteem growth.
