Four experts by experience (EbEs) have now been successfully recruited to support the project. The EbEs will advise the SCoPEd Oversight Committee (SOC) from the ‘client or service user’ perspective as the competence framework develops so that it works to improve the quality and safety of counselling and psychotherapy provision in the UK.
The seven partners are working very hard to review the feedback on the July 2020 iteration of the draft framework and we’ll keep you updated with the outcomes of this review process as it progresses.
We’re also currently updating the SCoPEd website content. These pages are being refreshed to reinforce why the project is important to Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ and our members, the potential benefits it can bring and to better answer some of your questions. If you’re interested in learning more about the SCoPEd framework, you can still visit these pages for more information in the meantime.
Finally, we know many of you would like to know more specific information regarding SCoPEd and how it will affect you if adopted, and have asked that more detail be provided as the work continues. We ask for your patience and want to reassure you we're committed to keeping you up to date with the very latest developments and will do so whenever and wherever we’re able to. We’re working hard to engage our members at every stage and will continue to communicate all key updates in relation to SCoPEd. Regular updates are included in our fortnightly eBulletin and we'll continue to communicate with you through feature articles and news updates in Therapy Today.
If you have wider feedback you’d like to share in relation to SCoPEd or other Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ workstreams, we’d love to hear it. Please share your views by emailing listening@bacp.co.uk.
