Imelda May has spoken about the 鈥渁mazing鈥 impact counselling has had on her life.
The singer-songwriter, musician and poet said counselling makes her feel liberated and was something she wished she鈥檇 done sooner.
Counselling
鈥淐ounselling is amazing,鈥 said Imelda, who earlier this year released her sixth studio album, 11 Past the Hour.
鈥淚 actually see loads of people that need it, now, where I wouldn鈥檛 have recognised that before.
"You think 鈥榳ould you not try counselling?鈥.
鈥淚t鈥檚 worked so well for so many people and when it does, you just want to share that with other people.
Advocate
鈥淚鈥檓 a massive advocate of it.鈥
Speaking with host Kate Thornton on the , Imelda said she鈥檚 learned a lot about herself through counselling.
鈥淚 think that鈥檚 amazing when you do learn to like yourself, there鈥檚 a freedom to that. There鈥檚 a liberation.
鈥淭here鈥檚 loads of things that I鈥檝e learned, and I鈥檓 still learning. That鈥檚 my thing, I can鈥檛 stop learning.
鈥淚 want to know everything, I want to know it now. My brain fizzes. I鈥檓 constantly going and it鈥檚 exhausting.鈥
