This year鈥檚 World Mental Health Day theme is mental health for all.
The World Federation for Mental Health which sets the theme says this is about highlighting the need for greater investment and greater access to mental health support.
Our Chair Natalie Bailey has recorded this short video message to share her thoughts on this issue.
In it, she describes the theme as 鈥渢imely and relevant.鈥�
She adds: 鈥淲e need to increase access to counselling and psychotherapy for any person who needs it. We have to break down the barriers that stand in the way of access.鈥�
Natalie also mentions our work campaigning for greater investment in counselling and psychotherapy 鈥� and why that鈥檚 needed.
She adds: 鈥淲e've called on the government to invest in counselling and psychotherapy and to create more paid jobs for qualified counsellors聽and psychotherapists who are already trained and ready to provide the support the nation needs.鈥�
