鈥淚鈥檝e found it tougher than I ever thought I would,鈥 said the Gavin and Stacey star.

鈥淚 found myself having these incredible spikes of anxiety and sadness when I鈥檝e allowed myself to think about my family back home in England or my friends or the people I love.

Out of control

鈥淵ou feel so out of control in it all. It feels so beyond our comprehension, all of it, that I鈥檝e found I get so overwhelmed with sadness in it all, really."

He added: 鈥淭he truth is, what I鈥檝e realised is it鈥檚 OK right now. It鈥檚 alright to feel a bit sad. It鈥檚 OK to feel anxious.

鈥淎nd the best thing we can all do is kind of try and breathe through that and try to put our minds in a positive place and think what can I do to help someone else who might be feeling like this?鈥

Talking

James said that talking to family, friends and loved ones had helped with his emotional wellbeing.

He told viewers: 鈥淛ust me talking to you has made me feel a bit lighter, and I鈥檝e found that when I鈥檝e called friends or when I鈥檝e FaceTimed my parents or my sisters, reaching out to somebody else who you think might be struggling too is pretty much the best thing we can all do right now because we absolutely will get through this.鈥
