Declan Donnelly says he has been receiving counselling since his television partner Ant McPartlin鈥檚 drink-drive conviction.
Dec says he 鈥渟ought help鈥� while Ant entered rehab and withdrew from his TV commitments.
Speaking to , Dec described the episode as 鈥渄estabilising鈥� and said he turned to therapy.
鈥淚鈥檓 not too proud to say I sought help when Ant was away,鈥� he said.
鈥淚t鈥檚 the most destabilising thing that has ever happened to me. I had some counselling, and I still do.鈥�
Asked if he was on medication, Dec said: 鈥淣o, just counselling. Therapy.
鈥淚t helps to talk to somebody independent, who doesn鈥檛 watch or care about TV. We just sit and talk for an hour.鈥�
The Geordie duo are reunited on ITV on Saturday when they return together for Britain鈥檚 Got Talent.
