We take a phase based approach to working therapeutically with clients – the first phase is about helping clients to manage the distress they experience by learning about different coping strategies, gaining tools for emotional regulation and importantly learning about the impacts of abuse and trauma and the brain science of trauma responses. The second phase is working at a deeper level and emotionally processing trauma memories and their impacts. The final phase is helping clients to reclaim their lives and move forward towards the life they want to live, free from abuse, fear and anxiety.
